My husband’s family has known Brandi and her mom for years. So I was really excited when Brandi’s mom reached out to me to help Brandi with her wedding. Brandi and I had been messaging previously because I was a nervous new mom and needed all of her advice and I was excited to congratulate her on her engagement so when Brandi’s mom hired me as a surprise for Brandi I couldn’t say anything for a few weeks until her mom finally told her!

I really enjoyed working with Brandi and her mom for her wedding. They were so incredibly sweet and were genuinely excited about planning Brandi’s wedding together. It’s a rare occasion that I see a mother and a daughter so similar, but these two were almost always on the same page with every part of the planning process.

Brandi and her then fiancé, now husband, are both doctor’s in New Orleans but it was important for Brandi to get married in one of the small towns where she grew up, but to also incorporate a few New Orleans touches to represent she and Derek’s home and where Derek grew up.

Brandi and Derek’s wedding took place at St. Charles Borromeo in Grand Coteau and their reception was held at the Le Pavillon ballroom, in Lafayette. I’m excited to share some of my favorite images from their day with you guys.
