I’ve vowed that before the end of the year, I will be fully caught up on blogging… so to start off, let’s head back to ….. July 2018. I know, I know. I’m that behind and that’s a bit crazy, especially since I love love loved this sweet couple!!
My grandfather was very sick throughout the entire planning process and the week of their wedding he passed away. His funeral was held the day of their rehearsal. Needless to say, it was an incredibly difficult time for me…. so why am I sharing something so sad when I’m talking about one of the most joyous days in this couple’s life? Because they treated me with so much kindness, they gave me so much grace and they trusted me implicitly to come through for them even if it would have meant that I wouldn’t have been able to make it to the wedding. It seems like, “Well yea, that’s how most people would be” but it was still so comforting and truly meant so much to me. I will always be thankful for that.
Katie and Christian were married in St. Jules Catholic Church in Lafayette. This is their family church, so it meant a lot to them to say their vows here. Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Le Pavillon, also in Lafayette. Katie, Christian and their guests had a blast. They stayed on the dance floor and were so much fun to watch. This was such a fun wedding to be a part of! Here are a few of my favorite shots from their day!
